Just another blog? Yeah, mostly. But its MY blog, so that makes it totally different. (Right? Right!)

Years ago, I was officially bitten by the travel bug. I was one of the fortunate young budget travelers who discovered this passion without any itchy red marks at the hands, er, mouths of the actual creepy crawlies found in too many hostels. I love seeing new parts of the country and the world, and revisiting places I’ve already fallen in love with. However, most of my travel is for work to nameless places in middle America. I am on the road an average of 4 days a week, about 3 weeks a month. I wanted a way to document and share stories from my life, which tends to be somewhat insane and full of both comic and tragic hilarity. The emails sent from my Crapberry, while great for capturing stories before the details start to fade from my memory, are kind of just a pain. Literally, my wrists usually end up hurting from the awkward angle of my thumbs jabbing rapidly away at the QWERTY keyboard. I have notes and quotes and keywords scribbled in mini notebooks and on random pieces of paper, and there they usually stay. Some time ago there had been talk about creating a collaborative blog with some of my co-workers. As tends to happen with ideas dependent on other people, particularly those who share a rather chaotic and unpredictable lifestyle, the idea never panned out.

So, here it is, my small contribution to the interweb.
